The DB5 followed the lines of the ’Superleggera’ construction of the DB4 Series 5, but with a larger more powerful engine and the new 5 speed ZF gearbox. With 282 bhp giving 143 mph top speed.
The DB5 is most famous for being the car the MI6 agent Commander James Bond 007 drove in movies like Goldfinger and Thunderball. That car was chassis number DB5/2017/R the car that we have on offer is the very next chassis number DB5/2018/R.
I like to think that it was ready for James, just in case he needed another!
This car was fully restored right down to the very last nut and bolt in the 1980’s and comes with a full photographic record of the work.
Since it has been very well maintained and been upgraded to run on unleaded fuel. It also benefits from new chrome wire wheels with radial tyres and a stainless steel exhaust system. With Koni dampers all round the ride and handling is superb.
The fines lines are beautifully complimented by the dark royal blue paint and chrome details. The red leather trim has a fine patina and the wilton carpets are leather bound. Even correct period radio is fitted.
However Browning 303 machine guns, revolving number plates and passenger ejector seat are extra.
